Whitefish Dunes; located south of Jacksonport with an adjacent access to cave point offers more than a mile of sandy beach and 14 miles of hiking, biking, and skiing trails.

The villages festival season begins here on January 1 at noon when a large crowd gathers to watch hundreds of human polar bears take an icy dash into Lake Michigan. "Polar Bear Plunge."
